College is an enormous growth opportunity in the lives of all students. Inclusive higher education initiatives for students with intellectual disability can promote this growth by supporting students in setting and working toward meaningful college and career goals and gaining related experiences. In this webinar, Dr. Kathryn Burke and two Temple University students describe, provide resources, and share student experiences from the Temple University Leadership and Career Studies' four-year certificate program. Temple uses the College and Career Learning Model, which enables students and those who support them to plan and strengthen college and career abilities, gain related experiences in the campus community, and track progress, all without separate, specialized courses. Dr. Burke is an Associate Director at Temple's Institute on Disabilities and an Assistant Professor of Research in the Department of Teaching and Learning.
